A moment in time is just a second — or even a fraction of a second—that we experience in the present. Every instant we have just lived becomes the past in the next second, and what was once the future has already become the present. This endless cycle is what we call time: something a person can feel but cannot see or touch.
The sensation of «compressed» time, where several years shrink into a single moment, is what I experienced in the spring of 2025. This feeling arises in the monotony of events, even when life is full, through habituation to a certain way of living. Conversely, when something unexpected occurs—for example, an accident—time seems to stretch, and fractions of a second feel like minutes.
This work consists of semi-transparent fabrics suspended in the air; each printed with a fragment of a single scene. The scenario, created in a 3D model, brings together objects from different eras caught in a whirlwind—cars, dinosaur bones, trees, and more. Renders of the 3D scene were taken from multiple angles, like photographs, and then printed on voile as irregular shards.
Among the suspended images, as if caught in frozen wind, the viewer can observe an unclear, elusive narrative of disaster, in which the silhouettes are barely recognizable. Just as «shards of a moment» prevent the depicted situation from being seen as frozen, so time itself, no matter how it is experienced, cannot be stopped in one place.
